Helping sole practitioners protect what matters most

Accountinuity will give accountants, bookkeepers and tax advisers peace of mind by making continuity of practice agreements simple, secure and genuinely useful.

This is not a software company, and not a regulator. It is a purpose-led service designed by professionals who understand the gaps in current arrangements and are committed to improving them.

Whether the priority is protecting clients, preserving value for family, or meeting professional obligations, Accountinuity will offer a trusted and practical solution for sole practitioners.

Mark Lee

I’m Mark Lee, a Fellow of the ICAEW, the CIOT and of the Professional Speaking Association.

During my career I've held many roles within the ICAEW including: Chair of the Tax Faculty, Member of Council, Chair of the Ethics Advisory Committee and I was an active member of the Members and Commercial Board for 8 years until 2024.

I’ve spent 25 years in practice and, since 2006, have been a popular speaker, consultant, mentor and debunker of myths and hype across the accountancy sector.  I have been a judge for countless tax and accounting awards as well as now for the Business Book Awards, and also co-host of the Accountants' Success Secrets podcast and leader of the online Sole Practice Club for accountants.

In 2024 I  received a unique 'Outstanding Contribution' award from Accountex in recognition of my support over the years and for being the only person to have spoken at every Accountex conference in London since it started in 2012.

A portrait of Dan Devonald founder of Accountinuity

Dan Devonald

I’m Dan, founder of Accountinuity, tax adviser, accountant, and someone who has spent far too many hours staring at spreadsheets while wondering what would actually happen if I got hit by a bus tomorrow.

Like most sole practitioners, I realised that the so-called “continuity plans” many of us have in place are… well, a bit of paper. Usually filled in over a quick chat with a friend just to keep the regulator happy.

I’m building Accountinuity because I believe we can do better. With something practical, human, and useful when it really matters.

I’m just one of you, a slightly overworked adviser who wanted to fix a broken bit of the profession. With a little luck and a lot of help, we’ll make continuity planning something we can all feel good about.

Built for the moments that matter.

Accountinuity exists to give sole practitioners confidence, clarity, and a safety net so their clients and legacy are always protected, no matter what life brings.
